Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached The Esplanade at 7-04 a m.
They headed to the beach access ramp.
It was piled with wind-blown sand.
The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple had arrived just before.
They were already on the beach after negotiating the sandy slopes of the ramp.
They headed down the ramp.
A couple stood with their little dog at the water's edge.
Every now and then they stooped to write something in the sand and photograph it.
Near the dune edge, a man had his small dog standing on a driftwood log as he tried to photograph it.
More people than usual were milking about.
Some by the sea.
A mam stood behind three children up on the dunes edge.
A book face photograph of them looking out to the sea and the sunrise.
Sunrise approached.
A lady sat on a driftwood log with a cough and a coffee.
She stood and took them both to the water's edge.
The man gave up trying to photograph his small dog.
He went to watch the Sunrise.
Team One Black Ear were heading north.
They paused.
They chatted.
It rose.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the "easy" route.
The man who once had a Beagle but now has a Spaniel has clambered up a sandy slope to chat to Beach Buoy.
He wanted to talk VW timing belts.
As they chatted, Team Muzzled Dog squeezed past
"Morning." x 8
"Morning Mate."
7-48.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat on a well-worn plank with plenty of rust.
He sat drinking hot coffee.
The clouds were lovely.
The cliffs to the south looked wonderful.
"See you mate."
They left Stubborn Dog and Billy Buoy behind.
The walked the "easy" route one more.
The Beach Below.
A family by the sea.
Team Mick Aston Jumper headed back.
Beach Buoy was pleased to see that three of the dogs were wearing Mick Aston Jumpers.
Others were just setting off.
