SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 10, OCT. 2024.

Beach Buoy took the hint that Borrowed Dog and even Stubborn Dog were wanting to out.

They went out.

It was 2-34 p.m. when they reached the beach.
They had parked up in Seaton Carew Park for free.
It was bright and Sunny.
Silver grains of sand sparkled like diamonds in a gold setting of the beach.

A litter picker worked the strand-line, directly in front of the colourful beach huts.
Along the strand-line, to the south two metal detectorists scanned for finds.

The driftwood family scampered back to the car park after a dip in the sea.

Beach Buoy and the dogs continued southwards.
Two hoods went up.
It wasn't that cold but they acted like blinkers.
Own space.

The Seaton Carew Wreck was just coming ashore.

Sea glass find.
One of those curved bottles.

The only birds within sight.
A Gull and a Crow stood side by side.

At the dune edge an elderly man searched with a metal detector and a German Shepherd.

It was one of those days when the sea would seem to rumble a mile away before rushing in a mile and three feet...
( Two of them wet.)

"Afternoon Mate."
It was 3-08.
Billy Buoy was laying in the dunes.
Blown no doubt by the previous night's storm.
Beach Buoy replaced him on to the stack top.
He added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone

Beach Buoy sat on the well-worn plank with plenty of rust.
He drank coffee as the dogs sniffed at the sea air.

Borrowed Dog and Another Dog kept a lookout.

"See you mate."
The headed back to the "easy" route.

Back to the beach below.

They headed back to the van, into the headwind.

Down at the water's edge , a man took photographs of his barking dogs
