Sunday 13 October 2024

SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 13, OCT. 2024.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach around 2-22 p.m.

It was a Sunny Sunday.
The beach was busy.
The tide was more in than it was out.

As Beach Buoy headed to the access ramp a couple went by on The Esplanade.
At first glance it looked like the elderly man was pushing a wheelchair at speed.
In fact it was an electric wheelchair.
The lady seated was driving.
The gentleman "pushing" was in fact stood on skateboard, getting a free ride.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the beach.

They headed south.
The busy beach has people and dogs of all shapes and sizes.

A lonely looking man, stood watching the beach folk.have fun.
His hat was at a jaunty angle.

Bon voyage...
Another man looked out to sea.

It was a lovely afternoon.

A young girl carried a driftwood stick.
It was so not going into the car when they reached the car park.

It was one of those tide that can catch you out.
Going out and out before rushing back in.
Every now and then you could hear the wet foot scream, as a rush if sea outran the beachgoers.
Pebbles with Legs ran in and out of the wash as if they were doing the okie cokie.

A lady with four Spaniels headed north in and on the water's edge.

Beach Buoy headed to the big slope.
Two puzzled-looking ladies stood at the top hands on hips as they looked across the dunes.

"Afternoon."
"Afternoon."
Beach Buoy passed by as he began to walk the "easy" route.

"Afternoon Mate."
It was 3-03.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat on the well-worn plank with plenty of rust.
The wind turbines stood idle.
Oddly there was a nice breeze up at the stack.

He sat watching the waves roll in.
It was almost perfect.

He began to nod as the silence began to close in.
Then
SLAP
a big wave broke close to shore.
He had been up since really stupid o'clock.
He was tired.

He stood.

"See you mate."
They headed back

The beach below.

They had a slow walk back.

Two spotty dogs headed south.
A lady stood at the water's edge watching her Spaniel get wet.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed back to the van.

BEACH BUOY.
