SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 23, OCT. 2024

Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog headed to the beach.

It was a Sunny Thursday morning.

They walked down the access ramp

 at 8-13 a.m.

The tide seemed to be a canny way out.

At the water's edge, a Dad carried a toddler  who didn't want to toddle.

To the north, sea swimmers headed back to folded towels and robes.

Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog headed southwards.
Random clouds would claim the Sun from time to time.

Though, back to the north, the sea front shone like the gem it is.

A dogless man walked slowly but purposely along the strand-line line.
He was heading to the Village.

"Morning Mate."
8-55.

Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat on the well-worn plank with plenty of rust.
Someone had laid the visible painted stones side by side.
Another Dog laid down, on guard, watching the "easy" route for incoming.
Borrowed Dog sat staring at Beach Buoy.
Beach Buoy sat staring at the sea.
It looked like summer.

He let the Sun recharge his inner battery.

Just one man and his dog on the beach below.

"See you mate."

Beach Buoy and the dogs , left Stubborn Dog Stack behind.

They had a slow walk back.

Then they joined The Esplanade.

They walked The Front for a short while.

A painter and decorator has cordoned off some of the pavement in front of The Marine Hotel.

He was scrapping loose flakes of  paint off it's outside wall. Some floated in the air.

One looked to be much brighter than the others.

It landed on a window frame

It opened its wings.

It was a Red Admiral.

Could this be the last butterfly if the year?
