SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 31, MAY, 2024.
The last day of May.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at 6-58 a.m.
The weather was terrible.
Team Muzzled Dog arrived on the beach.
"Morning."
"Morning."
"Hiya."
A cold wind blew from the north.
Beach Buoy felt sorry for all of the visiting birds.
Team Mick Aston Jumper and Team Muzzled Dog lead the way south.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog dawdled their way to Stubborn Dog Stack.
Gulls hung over The Big Slope.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog climbed the slope.
Whilst walking the blustery but "easy" route, Another Dog decided she needed the
BIG toilet.
Beach Buoy stood in the strong wind
On his hand a black dog bag
It flapped in the wind.
It looked like a punk rock glove puppet.
"Morning Mate."
It was 7-38.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sipped coffee.
To be honest it was too windy to sit on the driftwood wedge about a metre long.
The man who once had four dogs passed by, heading south.
"Morning."
"Lovely weather isn't it?"
"Awful."
There was a gap then dog one appeared.
Then a similar gap, then dog two.
Almost equispaced, the third dog appeared.
They all trotted off to the south.
Beach Buoy stood watching Gulls trying to head northwards.
A small and grateful ship headed for the shelter of the river.
"See you mate."
They began to walk northwards.
A slow walk back.
Up on the access ramp a man with a Spaniel was leaving too.
"Morning."
"Dreadful Day, the sand gets everywhere.

at 6-10 a.m.
A fresh breeze blew from the north.
It was cloudy.
Earlier sunshine had gone, thankfully overnight rain had too.
A man and his boxer dog walk to the sea.
The 7 a.m. club gave a distant wave
"Morning Paul!"
"Morning!"
Nosey teenagers were up in the dunes.
Two, making the noise of twelve.
The 7 a m. Club has carried on to the tank traps.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog climbed the Big Slope.
A towel lay on the strand-line.
It was as abandoned as it was colourful.
A Sand Martin sang overhead which seemed nice but unusual.
The 7 a.m. club returned north.
More Sand Martins arrived.
They filled the air with nothing and flight.
A Lone Oyster Catcher whistled like a builder on a Friday afternoon, down on the beach below.
6-38.
"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat with a coffee on the driftwood wedge about a metre long.
Another Dog.
Coffee view.
Cost a nothing.
The lady who walks the length of the beach, turned to head back.
The big coat was back in use.
"See you mate."
They returned to the beach.
A slow walk back.
Team three Dogs passed by.
"Morning."
"Morning."
They went their separate ways.
Up on The Esplanade, Beach Buoy talked to Team Muzzled Dog and Purdy's mam too.

A.SHORT WALK AND A CHANCE ENCOUNTER. SEATON SANDS.
It looked like it might rain.
It was 7-14 p.m.
The tide was 50/50.
Or so-so.
It was bright and sunny.
Dark clouds were being blown from the north.
Another Dog had been washed and blow dried earlier in the day.
They headed back to the van.
Photo used with permission and thanks.
Team Florrie had visited the stack a few days earlier.
A chance encounter in the car park this evening , led to a lovely chat.
What a lovely family.
"Read the blog for years."
Thank you.
"Inspirational."
Thank you.

Man with a German Shepherd off the lead.
"It's friendly mate."
Yer right.
A flock of Geese flew low over the car park.
They reached the water's edge around
BOB O'CLOCK.
8-08 p.m.
The Sun was out.
There was a nice breeze from the west.
They headed south.
The elderly man with an elderly greyhound
Sat swinging his legs swinging over a dune edge like he was fourteen again.
Meanwhile Beach Buoy played beach bubble wrap with empty beach shells like he took was being fourteen again too.
They shared distant waves.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog climbed the big slope.
The beach looked well.
8-28 p.m.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
A rainbow was up above.
Beach Buoy sat on the driftwood wedge about a metre long.
He drank coffee.
He stood to go.
A man with a rucksack passed by the stack.
"Hello."
"Hiya "
Beach Buoy waited to let the man get ahead.
In time they began to head back.
A slow walk back.
The Sun was beginning to set.
A Dune-dweller stood on the heights.
Sea Pottery.

"Morning."
"Morning."
Team Scruffy Dog went southwards, to catch the 7 a.m. club up.
Purdy and her mam caught up.
"Morning Paul."
"Morning."
They chatted a while before they took went to catch up the 7 a.m. club.

Sunday, 26 May 2024
SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 26, MAY, 2024.
It looked like it could rain.
It did.
It looked like it may thunder.
It did.
Rather than risk a soaking, Beach Buoy and Another Dog just bided their time.
At the water's edge.
Up on a high dune.
Or sat in the van with the side door open in mobile beach hut mode.
Rain did come
Thunder did come.
Wonderful clouds came along for ride.
In no particular order.
Here are Beach Buoy's photographs...
