13 APRIL 2024 SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL.

Rubbish sleep meant work in progress.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the beach for the 6-06 sunrise.

They showed up.

The Sun did not.

A family of disappointed sunrise seekers stood by the sea, under an overcast sky.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog descended the access ramp as the lady who once fell off her bicycle walked north along The Esplanade.

"Morning."

"Morning."

The tide looked to be a fair way in.

The sunrise seekers didn't stay too long , once they realised that their moment had been and gone.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog aimed for the water's edge.

They headed south.
Beach Buoy pulled up two hoods.
Protection from the wind and the world it travelled.

The Sea Serpent surfaced for a short while. It twisted and turned.

Blabbermouth Beach Buoy,
"Loads of sand gone."

The dune edges are becoming higher and higher.

They passed a Parcel of Oyster Catchers.
Beach Buoy gave they birds as much room as possible.
A large lazy wave slapped the beach.
The birds took flight anyway.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed for the big slope.

Once again they were welcomed to the dunes by the sound of Skylarks.

6-52 a.m.
"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat down on the driftwood wedge about a metre long.
Another Dog seemed anxious, as if sensing someone was approaching?

Beach Buoy stood and scooped up Another Dog.
A man with a pug and a baseball cap passed Stubborn Dog Stack.
Beach Buoy sat back down .
Coffee time.
He watched the sea.
He watched small black flies dance in the air.
He thought to himself that the Sand Matins won't be far from arriving if the flies have shown up.
At that very second , a Sand Martin shot by at eye level as if fired from the Sand Martin version of a human cannon ball.
Beach t made a note of the date in his bright orange beach book.

"See you mate."

They returned to the beach via the "easy" route.
Another Dog led the way.

They stopped to chat to Team Muzzled Dog.
They have a Border Collie as well as Muzzled Dog.
They explained that Muzzled Dog had been attacked three times by the same dog being walked by the same, paid dog walker.
Muzzled Dog is a big friendly dog. It only wears a muzzle to stop it catching rabbits up in the dunes.
They are a lovely couple with lovely dogs.

They went their separate ways.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed back northwards along the water's edge.

Up ahead, a man stood in the sea.
He was wearing shoes.
He looked at his wet footwear.

The man started walking to the north.
The sea would resist his shoes each time a save broke.

Beach Buoy and Another had a sit in the van.

Back at base camp, Beach Buoy completed that morning's drawing.

BEACH BUOY.
