Beach Buoy was out of sorts.
No early beach on days off always does that.
He made a coffee for the beach.
He didn't close it properly.
By the time he had driven to the beach the coffee was in the van but not in the thermal flask.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at 2-34 p.m.
A metal detectorist beep beeped his way along the beach.
At the water's edge, young love leant into one another.
It would have made a wonderful photograph but Beach Buoy felt uneasy about taking the picture.
A drawing may have to do.
He made a stick couple sketch in his beach book.
It was grey.
Beach Buoy wasn't fully sure if it was drizzle-like mist or mist-like drizzle.
The tide was well out.
People stood like Groynes.
Someone had played a game of
noughts and crosses in the sand.
A family stood looking at the Seaton Carew Wreck.
A large dog ran aggressively at Another Dog.
Beach Buoy scooped her up out of harms way.
A man followed the sea as it pulled back.
He ended up with wet feet as it came back in.
A man throwing a ball for his Labrador came annoyingly close on such a wide beach.
The man with two Yorkshire Terriers walked north along the strand-line.
Beach fisherman.
Watching the end of the rod as you wait for a bite.
Or maybe texting someone.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed up to the "easy" route.
The too close man and his dog were now at a distance on the beach below.
The man sat on the Grey Rocks, watching the dog.
Or maybe texting someone.
The dog laid flat on the sand, watching the man.
He at least had left his phone at home.
"Afternoon Mate."
It was 3-16.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
There was no coffee.
😟
Beach Buoy sat on the driftwood wedge about a metre long.
Two ladies walked by, heading north through the dunes.
Beach Buoy sat Another Dog on his knee to give them a clear route.
"Hiya."
said Beach Buoy.
"Hello."
"Hi."
answered the two ladies.
It became a little brighter.
More people headed south.
"See you mate."
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed back to the beach.
The too close man began to head back.
His dog went over to bother the beach fisherman.
Typically the owner shouted and shouted his dog when a lead would have done the job ... quietly.
It didn't stay bright for long.
Light rain came.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog went.
BEACH BUOY.
