SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 04, APRIL 2024

Beach Buoy and Another Dog passed Dottie Dog and her mam as they drove the short distance to the beach.

Waves were shared as they passed.

It was 3-50 p.m. by the time Beach Buoy and Another Dog were walking the overcast beach.

The tide looked to be 50/50

The tide looked to be so so.

Nearby, red roses had been placed in the sand ...

They headed southwards.

A chilly breeze from the north blew.

Half-term beach writers had been out in force.

Purdy's mam was close to the strand-line, chatting to a couple.

Distant waves were shared.

A large brown dog was having a bit of a lost panic.

It ran up and down the strand-line looking for it's owner.

Eventually the owner appeared from the dunes with another two identical but not lost dogs.

All were large, none were on a lead.

The owner was wearing an Orange hat.

It was so very orange, brighter than a fishing net float.

It reminded Beach Buoy of a quote by Clarkson on top gear.

He was talking about his Mother's 1970's

VW Beetle.

"It was so orange that it made an orange look like a lemon."

This afternoon Beach Buoy's coat seemed very lemon.

There could be a Seaton Snooks Tea Room Card coming soon.

Half-term kids ran from a shoe-dragged line on the beach to and up the dune edge.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the dunes at a slower pace.

4-24.
"Afternoon Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat, pleased that the driftwood wedge about a metre long was still in place.
He drank some coffee.
He thought thoughts.

Despite the chilly breeze coming off the sea, the Skylarks still sang up above the stack.

The beach below looked to be fairly quiet.

"See you mate, see you Winston."

They walked the "easy" route back through the dunes.

Down on the beach, a lady in red walked south then north with her small dog and the water's edge for company.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog returned to the north.

The Seaton Carew Wreck was just coming ashore once more.

The lady in red led the way.

Up on the strand-line, a small dog did big dog barking as it tried to tempt it's owner to kick a ball.

They returned to the van.

Later, Beach Buoy went to the supermarket.

He hasn't been to Asda for months and months.

He did this evening.

They had Orange enamel mugs for sale.

They weren't as Orange as the beach man's hat, but Beach Buoy's bought a couple for the van.

BEACH BUOY.
