SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 30, APRIL 2024.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at 6-55 p.m.
It was Sunny
A chilly breeze blew from the east.
The tide was a fair way out.
It had been windy for a good while.
Any shifting sand had already been shifted.
It left a stoney and crusted surface on much of the beach.
He has never been yet, but it was like what Beach Buoy imagined the surface of the Moon would be like.

They headed south.
It looked warm enough for T-Shirts.
In reality it was fresh enough for coats.
A couple passed by.
They all chatted.
They were trying to train their young dog, Toby.

Beach Buoy checked north.
He and Another Dog carried on south towards Stubborn Dog Stack.
Up ahead a couple stumbled their way across the grey rocks, just below the stack.
Hand in hand they supported one another.

7-27 p.m.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.

He sat and drank coffee on a driftwood wedge about a metre long.
Beach Buoy is often asked.
"Why do you go to the beach so much?"
...
This
...
The sea.
...
The sky.
...

Another Dog guard as she always does.

The late evening sun, lot up the "easy" route.

"See you mate."
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed back to the beach.

29,APRIL 2024. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked to the beach.

5-50 p.m. saw them on the esplanade chatting to one of the Little Tern Wardens.

"Alright there?"

"Yes, you?"

"Aye."

"Bit bleak isn't it?"

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the beach.
It was overcast a.k.a bleak.
A strong breeze from the south carried spots of rain.

The tide was well out.
The elderly man with an elderly greyhound walked the beach a while before heading for the dune edge.

Beach Buoy was tempted to turn back.
The weather was rubbish and low wind blown sand could be an issue.

To the south, a couple walked with two German Shepherd's.
The Dogs both shared one large piece of driftwood.
They trotted side by side with the wood grasped tightly by their teeth.
Both assistant branch managers.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed south along the water's edge.
The elderly man with an elderly greyhound sat on the dune edge.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked the "easy" route
Their sunshine shadows joined them.

6-24.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added seven stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
Two hoods went up
Coffee.
It was blowy up in the dunes but oddly it seemed calmer than down on the beach below.

Beach Buoy watched the Gulls.
He gave out a big audible exhale.
Everything had felt a little more laboured today.
Another Dog was laid flat but still on guard for in-coming.

The wind dropped a little.
Two hoods came down.
A plane flew overhead.
Beach Buoy waved the mist distant of waves.
You never know someone might have waved back?
Beach Buoy would like to think that they did.

"See you mate."
Back to the beach.

Two ladies walked the water's edge.
One barefoot, shoes in hand.

 Slow walk back.

The wind had dropped on the beach too.
The snaking sands were almost still.

SEATON SNOOKS TEA ROOM OUT AND ABOUT CARD.

The Little Terns return.

BEACH BUOY.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 28, APRIL 2024.

It had rained and rained.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog set off for the beach on foot and paw at 4-22 p.m.
They reached the beach at 4-45.
They were greeted by the chattering of the first Little Terns.

The tide was about as far out as it was in.
The breeze from the west had a bit of chilly attached.
A horse and rider headed north.
Up to the south, a couple stopped to talk to a metal detectorist.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog left the village behind.
Faint sunshine shadows joined them for the walk.

At the water's edge, pebbles with legs skirted the sea.
The ran in as one as the rush of water came ashore.
It almost looked as if they were pulling a net in.

A large cloud seemed to be heading their way?

5-15 p.m.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
It was overcast.
Two hoods went up.
To the south, Saltburn caught the evening sun like a reliable wicket keeper.
Beach Buoy sat on the driftwood wedge about a metre long.
He sat drinking coffee, playing russian rain roulette.

The big dark cloud was slowly passing overhead as it travelled towards the bay's wind turbines.
Blue sky followed on closely behind.
It had passed the stack but then a few random spots of rain fell.
Beach Buoy wondered how long a raindrop took to fall?
GOOGLE
Average speed of raindrop 14 m.p.h
from an average height of 2500 feet would arrive in two minutes.

With a bluer sky above them, they headed back.
"See you mate."

The man with two Yorkshire Terriers walked and sat at the grey rocks with his two energetic little dogs.

Team Muzzled Dog passed by.
Beach Buoy said.
"Fighting the urge to say morning, so evening."
They chatted about the morning's rainfall.
They went their separate ways.

The lady with the whispy dog approached with another lady.
"Are you the man with the dog buried up at those stones?
(Stubborn Dog's ashes are there.
Beach Buoy's will be too.)
"Yes."
was the easy answer.
"Tried to show my friend the other day. Kept getting stuck in brambles
(Sea Buckthorn.)
Beach Buoy pointed to the big slope, giving directions to follow once at the peak.
They went their separate ways.

The man with a Spaniel who once had a beagle, joined Beach Buoy for the remainder of the northward walk.
They had a good chat, each listening to the other's point of view.
They went their separate ways...

Beach Buoy listened to the Little Terns for a while.

They headed back to Basecamp.
At the Cricket Club an unfurled flag fluttered in the wind.

SATURDAY 27, APRIL 2024. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at 5-35 a.m.
The man with a rucksack and a Rottweiler arrived too.
They chatted.
They all headed to the beach.
They went their own way, to do their own thing.

The Sun cleared low cloud.

The light was lovely.

Sunshine shadows.
Fine rain fell too
Beach Buoy and Another Dog scanned the sky unsuccessfully for a rainbow.

The Wind Turbines looked magnificent.

Beach Buoy bad never seen the sunlight catch the blades in such a way.
Every now and then, a particular blade at a particular angle.
Would flash like a lighthouse.

Beach Buoy tried to capture the light.
The camera only shows a few of a lot.
The air was clear and cold.
The van and nearby fields had a touch of frost as they had set off.

They headed for the "easy" route.
The brighter the Sun became, the heavier the rain would fall.
Skylarks still sang.
Singin' in the rain.

"Morning Mate."
"Morning faint rainbow."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
Beach Buoy sat on the driftwood wedge about a metre long.
He drank coffee.

He watched the sea and it's ships.

"See you mate."
They headed back northwards.

They headed back.
The beach was quite narrow.
A lady had passed, going south.
She had two dogs, an Orange coat and matching hat.
The rain had stopped.
Finally the Sun gave off some heat.
Three Sand Martins flew by.
The young lady with a Yorkshire Terrier passed by
"Morning."
"Morning."

Team one black ear passed by
They chatted.

Mr.Gunn/Lunn and excellent dog Alfie passed by
They chatted.

Up on The Esplanade, Dottie Dog and her mam passed by.
They chatted.

SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 26 APRIL 2024.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at 6-48 p.m.
There was a fresh breeze off the sea.
The tide had turned from high about two hours earlier.

They headed south.
The Sun was shinning.

A couple headed north along the water's edge with held hands and matching hats.

7-15.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat on the driftwood wedge about a metre long.
Coffee and watch the sea.
The blue sea was still in as far as the grey rocks.

Beach Buoy just enjoyed the space.

"See you mate."

A slow walk back.

Chloe and Carl had written their names in the sand.
A jogger jogged northwards.
Kids threw stones into the sea.

BEACH BUOY.

MIDDLETON BY BIKE ( BUOY AND BICYCLE.) 26 APRIL 2024.

A day off.
Beach Buoy cycled to Middleton.
Middleton was THE beach of his youth.
Always lots of memories.

The tide was well out.
Seaton Carew in the distance through the bridge he once passed under in a boat with his Dad.

Back along The Esplanade.

"So let's get this straight.
You've done a beach AND a bike ride without me."
😬
BEACH BUOY.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 26 APRIL 2024.

Beach Buoy went to the beach alone.
Another Dog is a strange one.
She always seems reluctant to go for a walk. She always enjoys it when she is out.
This morning she had almost bolted herself to her bed.
Beach Buoy let her sleep.
He arrived at the beach car park at 6-58 a.m.
It was overcast.
The was a chill, blowing from the north.

The tide was well in.
The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple were already ahead with a guest dog too.

Beach Buoy walked the water's edge.
It was odd, not having a dog alongside.

A hint of a rainbow.

7-26.
"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy added four stones.
He patted
THE
stone.

He sat on a driftwood wedge about a metre long.
Coffee with a side order of sea.
Beach Buoy watched as rainfall to the south headed for Redcar and Saltburn.
The slightest spell of rain fell on the stack.
It passed.

A Gull headed north, seemingly kissing the horizon as it did so.

Beach Buoy stood to watch the sea.
The peaks and troughs.
Like life's ups and downs.
A life that's ending it's final phase.
Mr. Gunn/Lunn headed south on the beach below with his excellent dog, Alfie.

Best seat in the world.
"See you mate."
Evening when alone, he wasn't.

Beach Buoy headed back along the "easy" route.

A slow walk back.
Beach Buoy met up with Team Muzzled Dog.
They had been on holiday.
Bridlington.
Muzzle Dog was muzzle free on holiday as no rabbits to chase.
Muzzle Dog came over.
First ever neck scratch.
The big dog leaned against Beach Buoy's leg.
Maybe it because Beach Buoy was dogless?

Team Mick Aston Jumper split into two camps as they approached.
"Is you dog alright?"
"Yes, just lazy.
Thanks for asking."

"They didn't dare ask just incase."
The lady pointed to the others if her group."

Beach Buoy headed back to the van.
