SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. SUN. 28, JAN, 2024.

Beach Buoy locked the front door.

It was 7-32 a.m.

He could hear voices.

The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple passed the end of the drive on their way to the beach.

7-45 a.m.

Beach Buoy slid the van door shut in Seaton Park Car Park.

He had faffed a little.

He had an emergency hat and snood on.

The others couldn't be found.

It felt a little like a wrong trousers type of day.

On The Esplanade in front of The Village Green, sea swimmers stood doing pre-swim exercises.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed down the northerly beach access ramp as a man passed by.

Flat Cap with a Sunday Paper folded neatly under an arm.

The tide was well out.
There was a fresh strong breeze from the south west.
A man talked on his phone as he went by.

The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple were up ahead.
A man with no dog walked to the sea.

To the west, Team Mick Aston Jumper walked the dune edge.
Beach Buoy stuffed ungloved hands into his pockets.
Two hoods were already up.

Sunday gave the beach beach a glow.
They headed up to Stubborn Dog Stack.
Crows pecked at the seacoal scattered strand-line.
They were almost unseen dressed in matching black camouflage.
In The distance a couple walked into the sunrise as though it was the sunset at the happy ending of a film.

"Morning Mate."
It was 8-33 a.m.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
Some scumbag had tried to hide a green dog poo bag in the stack !
ALL DOGS HAVE BUMS
SOME BUMS HAVE DOGS.
That's the clean version!
Beach Buoy had a wobbly driftwood coffee on a wobbly driftwood plank.
Another Dog sat as if on guard, sniffing the air for possible danger.
In the distance, a rig-like structure looked like a sea spider.

A man with swinging arms and a rucksack headed north.

A jogger tiptoed like a burglar as he headed south.

"See you mate."
They returned to the beach below.

A milky sun watched as they walked to North Gare Pier.
They turned 180 degrees, heading back.

Two Gulls walked like old friends, chatting.

The Sun glowed a little more brightly  behind them.

A couple walked a tiny puppy up near the strand-line.
First of many beach walks?

Figures were up ahead.
It was Seaton Beach School.
Team Distant Wave are at the helm.
A very warm welcome and chat took place.

Beach Buoy wished them luck before heading back to the van.

They passed The Seaton Carew Wreck.
A crew of one looked for a long gone Crow's Nest.

BEACH BUOY.
