Beach Buoy was putting Another Dog into the van on the drive.
He heard voices...
It was The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple.
They chatted as they always do as they headed home.
They live just around the corner.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog set off.
They reached Seaton Park Car park at
3-40 p.m.
It was bright.
It was cold.
On the Promenade or Esplanade as a nearby signpost calls it, a lady was trying to persuade her Labrador to leave the best ever piece of driftwood.
"He's not going home with out it " said Beach Buoy.
The lady laughed answering " He put it down once, l petted him , told him what a good boy he was, the he picked it up again."
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the northerly access ramp.
Behind them ...
"Come on, be a good boy, drop."
Down on the beach a chilly breeze blew from the west.
The sea was rough.
The horizon was hidden by the turbulent bay.
As the waves broke onto the beach the sea would run and run.
Beach Buoy stayed clear of the water's edge so that he didn't have to.
A man appeared with a Spaniel.
They headed for the sea just as it had just pulled out.
Then it ran, so did the man.
The Spaniel was too busy swimming for a thrown ball.
They only stayed long enough to throw the ball about four times before heading back to the car park.
3-57 p.m.
The Sun was still out
It was peeking over from behind the Golf Club.
They headed South.
A couple with two Spaniels were just ahead.
The sea was coming up to the dune edge by now.
Beach Buoy gave Stubborn Dog Stack a distant wave.
He rested up against the dune edge.
It would be a beach coffee today.
Time to head back.
Gulls headed out to sea.
Sea headed to Gulls.
They began a slow walk back.
Darting Pebbles with legs inspected an ever changing water's edge.
BEACH BUOY.
