Beach Buoy had been up since 5-43 a.m.
A sleep in.
He drank coffee as he caught up with the blog.
It was 7-38 when they left the car park.
Taken for a possible drawing later.
Beach Buoy always called it the Promenade.
Recently he saw a sign.
Esplanade ➡️.
Future blogs will vary from one description to the other but they will both refering to the same place.
Five ladies walked side by side along the ... Esplanade.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the beach.
It was quite a while until sunrise but the the sky to the south glowed blood orange for a while before fading into a grey day.
The light wasn't as good to the north.
A Blurry Beachcombing Border Collie Couple headed home, stooping for funds as they went.
They are in a certain group of beach-goers who go to the beach at the same time of day. The season or amount of daylight doesn't seem to be a factor for them?
Beach Buoy is more of a sunrise (ish) type of visitor much of the time.
Which can mean an early start in the warmer months.
The rewards that those mornings bring make it all worthwhile.
That dot in the distance is Mr.Gunn/Lunn, leading the way with Alfie, his excellent little dog.
Beach Buoy had seen his bright orange coat heading along the seafront ahead of them.
He had taken on Beach Buoy's tip and had began to park in Seaton Park to avoid that
"Must be back for 9 a.m."
Thanks to Hartlepool Council's Sea Tax.
The tide was way out.
There was a cold strong wind blowing from the south west.
To be honest, Beach Buoy almost headed back early.
The low level sand storm wasn't good for Another Dog.
Beach Buoy carried her up to the Esplanade wall for shelter.
Oddly the wind seemed to ease in a few minutes.
In places, the dune edge is as high as three Beach Buoys.
Photograph taken for a drawing later.
They continued south.
Time to clamber to Stubborn Dog Stack.
"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
It was 8-35 a.m.
He set up the wobbly driftwood plank.
He drank a wobbly driftwood coffee.
The breeze felt more wind-like up on the more exposed dune.
It felt like a bonus beach as he was close to heading back.
The coffee tasted all the more better for it.
"See you mate."
They returned to the beach.
A jogger headed north, ahead of them.
A few spots of rain fell
It amounted to nothing.
Up ahead the sand storm seemed to have returned?
It still felt sheltered to the south.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog joined a sand storm free Esplanade as soon as they were able.
The returned to the car park.
Mr. Gunn/Lunn was just getting into his car.
He stepped out again.
The car bonnet went up.
Beach Buoy approached.
"Won't it start?"
"Battery is dead."
Beach Buoy gave a jump start.
They went their separate ways.
BEACH BUOY.
