SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL, ENGLAND, EUROPE 22 JAN, 2021.

Beach Buoy had been to work.

It was 3-50 pm when he and Stubborn Dog reached  the car park.

The car park was quite busy.

If an afternoon can be bright eyed and bushy-tailed then this was the afternoon in question.

There was a slight breeze from the west.

They headed down the beach access ramp.

Well to be more accurate,  Beach Buoy headed down the ramp.

Stubborn Dog was on tow, coming down in a zig-zag pattern like an Olympic Down hill skier.

You could almost hear the cow bells.

A lady was leaving the beach by the ramp.

Looking at Stubborn Dog she laughed saying

"He doesn't want to move."

Beach Buoy's neighbours were not far behind.

Their beach was done, they were heading home.

They headed for the sea, then south.

The sea was a fair way out.

The south went on forever and ever.

A family enjoyed the vantage point, the height of the dunes provided.

Nearby a football skidded along the wet sand as children kicked the ball as they edged the sea.

The waves out in the bay had a bit of anger about them.

They rolled like surfing waves but almost in slow motion.

Beach Buoy collected three large stones for the stack.

The moon watched as he stacked the stack, made notes and took a couple of photographs.

An aeroplane scored a vapour trail across the setting sun as if zipping the day shut.

A blanket of cloud covered the village.

Beach Buoy stepped back down onto the beach.

Stubborn Dog had height advantage now and was reluctant to budge.

Eventually they were both back on the beach.

A small black dog ran excitedly nearby.

If he was Beach Buoy's he would call it

Sea coal.

There were a few bits of sea pottery scattered in the shingle.

An energetic looking cloud jumped across the dunes.

A lady passed nearby, carrying a small Pug.

" Can he say hello to your dog?"

'Of course' said Beach Buoy.

The lady placed her small dog on the sand.

Stubborn Dog moved in and showed the dog a mouthful of teeth.

"Maybe not." said the lady as she scooped up her dog.

They headed to the van.

They left just after five.
