SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL, ENGLAND, EUROPE.18 JAN.2021

Beach Buoy had been to work.

He left at 3pm.

By 3-38 he was in the beach car park with his mate; Stubborn Dog.

It was bright and sunny.

He had to wear sunglasses whilst driving from work, such was the brightness.

They parked up.

Stubborn Dog wasn't wanting to walk to the beach.

His lordship was carried.

Once on the beach he decided to join in.

There was a chilly breeze from the west, it was blowing across the dunes.

The tide was slightly more in than out.

They set off on a wandering walk.

They drifted from the strand-line and water's edge and back again a number of times as they meandered their way south.

Beach Buoy pulled one hood up; it was chilly.

A couple passed by.

The lady laughed at Stubborn Dog and his dragging along.

"Looks like  me in the morning." she said.

'He is so stubborn'

'I think he is a cat in a dog suit.'

Chuckles were chuckled and they all went their separate ways.,

chuckling.

A family walked the dune edge where the light was completely   different up there to the west towards the setting sun.

The Moon up above the dune was lit from 1 to 7 on the lunar clock face.

When you looked at its position in relation to the Sun, then it all made sense.

There was plenty of space on the beach today.

Beach Buoy collected another five stones to add to the stack.
The stack had been partially demolished.
It looked as flat as a friend egg with a burst yoke.
Beach Buoy carried out some repairs before adding the new additions.
By now the breeze was a wind.

It was another slow walk back.
They passed a tall lady with a small child.
They both stood at the water's edge looking out to sea,

Beach Buoy couldn't find Stubborn Dog's usual lead when they had set off.
They had made do with one of those extending ones.
So Stubborn Dog being Stubborn Dog instead of trailing around  metre behind he was now around four metres away and the pair of them now had the turning circle of an oil tanker.

Beach Buoy led the way back, wondering where all of the seabirds were today?
A family walked the water's edge with two yapping dogs and two happy children.

A bad news siren travelled the sea front.

They reached the van.
The creams and yellows of the sky had changed to dark blues and greys.
It wasn't dark just yet, but Beach Buoy switched on the dashboard's fairy lights.
Wouldn't hurt would it?
A bit of colour.
A bit extra light

BEACH BUOY.
