Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog arrived in the car park at 7-38am.
Four cars were already parked randomly in the vast car park, all faced the sea.
It was already light.
Some seaside silhouettes dotted the water's edge.
The tide was more in than out .
There was breeze from the south west.
A man threw ball for his two black labradors, in doing so he disturbed a Murder of beach-combing crows.
Ten in total took flight.
The more exposed position meant that two hoods were pulled up to ward off the chill that was held in the grasp of the breeze.
The sea looked calm but rippled.
The water lapped onto the beach gently as a lake would do on a lakeside.
Just beyond the water's edge, a Cormorant surfaced like an enemy submarine.
'Periscope up.'
They continued south.
A Beach-combing couple with a Border Collie headed North.
Beach Buoy collected five stones for the stack.
One of the five was a Hagstone.... just incase.
They were stood at the stack for the sunrise.
A couple had followed not far behind and had also climbed the dune edge to watch the sunrise together to the north of Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog.
The sun climbed quickly, the temperature less so.
The sunlight was so very welcome.
Beach Buoy looked to the north.
A steady flow of people headed south towards the golden sun.
Some paused to capture the spectacle.
The power of solar.
They headed back to the beach and towards the north.
Their long sunshine shadows led the way back to van,
seemingly upstream against a flow of sun seekers.

The flow of people and dogs became a trickle.
The sunrise rush was over.
Off into the distance they all went.
They sat in the van for a few minutes as the Promenade people passed.
As they left the car park Beach Buoy looked up to the Art Deco Clock Tower.
9-15.
The hands of the clock were outstretched like arms of a fisherman as he told the story of the one that got away.
Fish, People and time can all slip away.
Later, the story goes that Beach Buoy washed and waxed that van once more.
He had a bit of a clear-out inside but did add a new T-Shirt to the van's wardrobe, ready for if and when they had they OK to get up and go.
"Reach for the sky."
BEACH BUOY.
