SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL, JUNE 30, 2020.

Beach Buoy had been to work and a funeral.
He drove to the car park and made a cup of tea and fell asleep.
He went to the beach around 3-45 pm

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL 29 JUNE 2020.

It was Monday at 7-15 pm
There was bright sun and dark clouds.
The west wind carried the threat of rain and sound of the village church bells.

A family headed for the dunes.
Beach Buoy headed for the dunes too, to stack the stack.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.28 JUNE, 2020.

Beach Buoy slid out of bed at 4-05 am;
wide awake but exhausted.
He sat there for half an hour using the bed as a backrest.
He eventually moved and headed downstairs.

They reached an empty car park at 5-05 am.
It was chilly.
His snood and VW Dut had been left at home.
Beach Buoy has spare everything.
He headed for the beach in a spare snood and his Alloa Athletic dut, he had another almost identical too; a spare spare.
Note.. In Hartlepool a Dut is a bobble cap without the bobble; referred to as a beanie in some places.
IT IS A DUT!

Rain fell gently.
His phone screen looked as if it had been covered in bubblewrap, as the droplets clung to the smooth screen.

As they stacked the stack the rain stopped.

They headed to the North Gare to see if all of the recent rainfall had caused havoc for the Sand Martins once more.
Everything looked to be OK

They headed back by the water's edge.
At the far end of the beach some swimmers entered the water.

They arrived back at the van just in time as the wind increased in speed as did the copycat rainfall.

Beach Buoy dried himself off with his blue and white fluffy towel.
Stubborn Dog was dried with his own grey towel.
The dog curled up and went to sleep underneath a hoodie; a spare hoodie.

Beach Buoy drank coffee and fell asleep to the sound of the rain on the van roof.

The sound of laughter woke him.
It was the swimmers returning to their vehicles.
The rain wasn't an issue to them, they were wet anyway.

The swimmers dried themselves with fluffy towels of their own and drove off.
Beach Buoy turned on the LED lights; it was a Turquoise day.

SEATON SANDS 27 JUNE 2020.

They hadn't done the beach for days,
People had come to soak the rays.

Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog arrived at 7-05 pm.
Beach Buoy had been to work.... again.
There had been tremendous thunder storms all afternoon.
(That is the first time ever Beach Buoy has written the word tremendous.)
The bottom of the beach ramp was flooded.
They headed for the gap in the promenade wall at the south end of the car park.
A moron skidded around the puddles in his little car that matched his manhood no doubt.
A rainbow flashed on and off over the dunes; coming and going as it pleased.

There was a pleasant breeze from the south west.
The heavy rain and the action of the tide had wiped away the many footprints of recent days visitors.
The tide was half in or half out depending on what sort of day you were having really.

Another rusting oil rig has turned up to die and be dismembered.
A Skylark dropped like a stone as Beach Buoy took the photograph...so every cloud....
Speaking of clouds the ones to the west looked a little dark.

There were clouds of every shade all around to be honest.
A beach fisherman looked out to sea and kicked beach pebbles as he waited for a bite.

They headed up to the stack.

Looked like rain.

It was rain... as soon as they reached the end of their southerly trek this evening, the rain came.

Someone had drawn a face on some driftwood.
A horse?

They headed back.
They were wet.
It was ok Beach Buoy would rather be in a storm on a beach than with a shower.

THREE MINUTES ON SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL 26 JUNE 2020.

Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog went to the beach.
Although in the photograph, it doesn't look like it was busy; it was.
Too busy.
They left ... stage right.

BEACH BUOY

NO BEACH.. 23, 24 and 25th of JUNE 2020.

THE WEATHER IS HOT
THE TIDE IS HIGH
EVERY MAN AND HIS DOG SEEMS TO BE ON FURLOUGH
ALL WITH HOLIDAYS TO TAKE WHEN THEY DO RETURN TO WORK
EVERYDAY A WEEKEND TO THEM
TOO MANY PEOPLE AFTER TOO LONG
OF
TRYING TO STAY AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

THE LITTER LEAVERS.

THE FREE-ROAMING DOGS

THE DUNE FIRE STARTERS.

THE PLASTIC 'GLASS' BEER DRINKERS.

I HOPE
IT RAINS
AND
BLOWS A GALE

I WILL GO DOWN TO THE SEA AGAIN
TO THE TRASH FILLED SEA AND SIGH
AND ALL I WANT
IS
A RAINSTORM
AND A COAT TO KEEP ME DRY.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL 21 JUNE, 2020.

A Day off.
Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog headed for the beach, arriving at 7-21 am.
A Police Car did a circuit of an almost empty car park.

Chocolate Pudding Dog and her lady owner passed by as Beach Buoy was readying Stubborn Dog for a walk.
The side door of the van was open and Chocolate Pudding was interested in the van.
The Dog owners chatted briefly.
'Enjoy your walk.' she said as they went their own ways.

Beach Buoy headed for the water's edge.

A metal detectorist aka Beach Pick-pocket, scanned the strand line, sounding like The Clangers.
Buy some headphones?

They stacked the stack.

They chilled in the van.
Coffee and a Bun.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL 20 JUNE 2020.

Beach Buoy had been to work.
He and Stubborn Dog reached the beach at 7-30 pm.
The tide was well out.

An overcast walk to the dune stack.
Once there, the Sun came out.

They headed to North Gare Corner and checked on the Sand Martins.

Two Fishermen stood the sea wearing waders.
A couple walked by hand in hand also in the water.

They headed back .....
