SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 11 JUNE 2020.

Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog arrived in windswept and rainswept car park
at 7-01 pm.

The plan was to sit and drink coffee until the weather eased.
They were going to need more coffee!
If anything the wind and rain became stronger as time went by.
The rain was going across the windscreen, rather than down it.

A couple braved the weather have a look at the Little Terns.
A Little Tern took flight and was whisked to the south.
It was last seen at a Bus Stop in Redcar, so they say.

Beach Buoy moved into the back of the van.
He was tired, and the rain on the roof of the van sounded fantastic.
Every cloud has a silver lining they say.
These clouds provided a  calming sound and soon Beach Buoy was nodding like a nodding dog.
Meanwhile......Stubborn Dog was sleeping like a sleeping dog.

They drove to the south end of the car park, so that the rear of the van faced the wind.
Beach Buoy started to prepare Stubborn Dog for a wet beach walk.
Stubborn Dog wasn't keen to be honest.
Trying to dress him in two coats; one of them a onesie style waterproof was a bit of a struggle.
Beach Buoy was pretty sure that Stubborn Dog was hiding his paws in one of the van's cushions.
It reminded Beach Buoy of the washing up scene in a Laurel and Hardy film, where they keep washing the same pots over and over again.
One paw in as another went out.

They headed for the beach.
To be more
accurate; Beach Buoy carried Stubborn Dog to the beach.

They didn't stay long...
but a short beach visit is still beach visit,
come rain or shine.

BEACH BUOY.
