SEATON SANDS AND SEAHAM 18 AUG.2019.

Work had been on the agenda for today.
A change of plan meant Beach Buoy was beach bound as the Sun came up over the horizon.
Beach Buoy had woke at 5-15am.
He wakes at 5-20am for work during the week.
The body on auto pilot had him up and around regardless if it was a work day or not.
The Sun rose slightly later than Beach Buoy did.
Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog reached the beach at 5-47am just as the Burning Planet was breaking free of the horizon.

By pure chance, the last job Beach Buoy worked on in Hartlepool sailed out of Port.
Four Tugs guided the barge towards an Ocean-going Tug and let her take over the task of moving the barge.
He was always at work for the rush of the sail away.
Not for this one.
The last one.

Back in the here and now over to the South the world went on.
The Sun rose.

The Sea rolled in as a camera shy Seal came and went.

For a few moments the world was Golden.

The Ocean-going Tug headed off on its long journey.

One by one the smaller Tugs returned to the River Tees, to the South of the Bay.

Beach Buoy raised some freshly found sea pottery to the now distant Tug..

They sat down near the Grey Rocks.
Beach Buoy put the little stubborn dog on his knee and gave him a five minute
"THIS WON'T LAST FOR EVER!" hug.
The Dog seemed to realise the significance of the moment and tried to lick Beach Buoy on the cheek.
Nope!
That won't happen.
Beach Buoy had been warned as a child not to let Dogs lick your face, not unless you want to catch Cherrywompus.

Cherry what?

They headed to the dune edge.

Then back to the water's edge.
The 7am club came along, heading South.
Mari the Large friendly poodle broke ranks and made a bee-line for Beach Buoy.
Shoulder rub and neck scratch done she bounded off and bounded back for more.

As the walk ended, Stubborn Dog decided that the walk shouldn't be ending.

Back at base camp... Beach Buoy had bought a sticker for the van.....

11-28am
Late breakfast /early lunch at Seaham.

Red Acre Beach sit and think.
Then off to Seaham Hall Beach Car Park for a read, a snooze and a cup of tea.
Life's a Beach.

BEACH BUOY.
