9, MAY 2026. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

Saturday morning.
6-58.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog arrived at Sandy Car Park one minute before the rain.
Luckily, the rain didn't amount to much.
Team Muzzled Dog had just returned to The Esplanade, beach walk done.
"Morning."
"Morning.'
"There's not a soul down there."
(The beach )
Perfect thought Beach Buoy.
They chatted a while.
Then one want off to get the paper, the to walk a "Souless "beach.

Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones.
Today "Suitable." meant small.
He already has some painted stones in his beach bag.

They left the north behind.

Team Muzzled Dog approached from the north.
Another Dog dropped anchor.
She wasn't moving until they had passed.
"Morning."
"Morning.'

A man emerged from the dunes.
He wore shorts that looked go be two sizes too small.
He took a picture of his setting.
He then began to Jog.

A Crow had a sit and a think on a different driftwood seat with an elevated view.

The tide was more in than it was out.

They continued south.

Others headed back having chosen to turn at some random point along the water's edge.
L

Beach Buoy was waggling his phone's camera at Little Terns just beyond the shore.
He heard a noise and turned.
It was a Crow making the saddest and most pathetic attempt at a Crow's call.
"Do you want some breakfast mate?"
Beach Buoy scattered some seeds for the bird.
The bird seemed grateful.
Maybe it was very young or perhaps unwell?

A Parcel of Oyster Catchers crossed from dune to sea.

They walked the low level route.

The fog buzzer began to blow as they did so.

"Morning Mate."
It was 7-38.
Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.

He added two painted stones for the crew of Trio wrecked at Newburn Bridge.

"See you mate. See you everybody."
They returned to the low level route.

A Tees Tug headed out to sea
The  Wind Turbines were barely visible in the gloom.

They headed back.
It was raining.

Up ahead, the excitement of an umbrella on the beach.

Wonderful.
