19, APRIL 2026. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy was going to wait until the free parking started at 6 p.m. before heading for his second beach visit of the day.
He set off at 5-14 with Another Dog.
She was her usual stubborn self.
He had to carry her twice.
In fact he was within a whisker if just turning back
He would be very glad that he preserved.
After a lot of stops, sniffs, carries and tugs, they finally reached the bright beach at 5-40.

The tide was well in.
The narrow beach was a little too busy for Beach Buoy's liking.

He collected five suitable stones as they headed south.

Thankfully, the others on the beach all seemed to be heading north.
An elderly man, that means even older than Beach Buoy and his wife or partner walked the strand-line. The man scanned the sand with a metal detector as they walked.
The sea was royal blue.
It looked full to almost bursting point.
They headed to and walked the low level route.

Beach Buoy added two sturdy stones to the small slope sea defences.

"Evening Mate."
It was after 6 p.m.
That's the cut out point for afternoon in Beach Buoy world.
He added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He had  sit and a think on the driftwood seat with an elevated view.
A man appeared from the north.
Beach Buoy stood to let him pass in front of the stack.
They chatted.
It turned out that the gentleman was Brakesy.
They exchanged stories.
Beach Buoy told him how much people liked his work when he shared it on Blue sky.

Beach Buoy asked loads of questions.
They are answered just by looking at Brakesy's excellent website.
The link is below.

Beach Buoy is not the type for a photograph but the opportunity was too good to miss.

Lovely bloke.

Funny was that It was an unusual time for Brakesy to be walking the dunes.

The chances of their paths crossing that day were slim and at Stubborn Dog Stack too!

Beach Buoy was so very pleased that they did.

Meant to be possibly?

Who knows?

BEACH BUOY.
