SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.16 DECEMBER 2025.

Tuesday morning.
Beach Buoy arrived at the beach car park at 6-49 a.m.
As he faffed, a figure walked the Esplanade.
In the darkness they never recognised one another.
It was the 7 a.m. Club, walking Esplanade not beach.
It was a one dog day.

They headed north to join the sea swimmers.

Beach Buoy headed to the access ramp.
The Council Tractor had shifted some of the shifting sand.

The cleared sand had been piled onto the beach.
It was possibly the biggest and last Sand Castle of the year?

Tractor tyre tracks were everywhere.

Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones by torchlight.

There was a light breeze from the south west.

It was mild.

Beach Buoy headed south into the darkness.

Torch scanning the beach.

Green light attached to his beach bag flashing.

"COCOA!"

"COCOA!"

Beach Buoy was joined by a bouncing, wagging unknown but friendly dog.

It may have been a Labrador?

It was too dark to tell.

A second but more reserved dog ran around in circles.

Beach Buoy shouted in the general direction of the voice.

"It's OK."

"You OK mate?

Cocoa!"

The dog came back four times.

Up on back legs, paws on Beach Buoy's waist.

After all of the excitement, the calm of Stubborn Dog Stack was nice.
It was 7-13 and still dark.
The photograph is filtered to show the scene.
The video below shows the true light for both the stack and bouncing dog encounters.

By invite only.
A Brakesy exhibition by torchlight.
Beach Buoy patted
THE
stone.
He added five suitable stones.

Beach Buoy returned to the beach.

He walked the water's edge.
It was still quite dark in the real world.

Beach Buoy wasn't sure if the tide was coming in or going out?
He hoped the wreck was on show.

Beach Buoy carried on to the north to check.

Almost there.

The man who once had four dogs started his beach walk with three.
Again it was still quite dark.
The man wore a head torch.
The three dogs wore flashing collars .
Each a different colour.
Red.
Green.
Blue.

The wreck today.
