17 DECEMBER 2025. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

Wednesday morning at 7-23.
Beach Buoy went to the beach alone.

A lady and her dog walked the Esplanade as Beach Buoy headed to the beach access ramp.

The glow before sunrise was beautiful.

The tide looked to be well out.
There was a chilly wind from the south west.

A couple and their dog walked the water's edge.

Beach Buoy collected six suitable stones, just for a change.

The random pipe.

It is buried for much of the time.

Over a metre in depth of sand has gone for it to be so prominent.

The man who once had four dogs came along with three.

He wore a head light.

The dogs all had illuminated collars of different colours.

They walked and talked as far as the grey rocks.

Beach Buoy said farewell before heading up to Stubborn Dog Stack.

Morning Mate.

it was 7-50.

Beach Buoy added the six suitable stones.

He patted

THE

stone.

Beach Buoy had a stand and think .
The man with his three dogs had stayed on the beach.
The low tide gave them beach access to Sand Martin Corner and beyond.

Two flashing lights to the north were heading south.
It was the whited dog and the black dog.
The lady owner and the dogs passed by on the beach below.
"Morning!"
"Morning!"
Beach Buoy gave a not so distant wave.
The lady waved back, ball- launcher in hand.

"See you mate."
Beach Buoy returned to the low level route.

The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple led the way back north.
Team Muzzled Dog gave a distant wave as they headed south.

At Bob o'clock- 8-08, spots of rain began to fall.

The colourful glow held onto the morning.

Up ahead, White Gulls looked like Flamingos as the light reflected on them.

Beach Buoy wondered if rain would mean rainbow?

The rain was random.
Spots here and there.
He continued north towards the wreck.
It would be nice to photograph a sunrise by the sea.

The wreck was well ashore.
No sunrise as yet.
Beach Buoy took some photographs of the wreck.
A lady arrived with her two dogs.
She took some photographs of the wreck and the glow.

"Some nice light to the north too." said Beach Buoy.
"Oh yes."

Another Lady was in the distance.
Her old dog came over to see Beach Buoy.
As always with friendly dogs, Beach Buoy made a fuss of the dog.
The lady came over.
"Looks like he wants to go home with you."
Beach Buoy told the story about Another Dog's eye operation.
"It's a bit windy or l would have brought her. Don't want her to get sand in eye."

More photographs of the wreck.

The colourful light was fading second by second.

There was to be no visible sunrise.

Instead of a fanfare, it was more of a slide-whistle start to the day.
