Saturday morning.
Beach Buoy went to the beach alone.
It was 7-48.
He arrived the same time as the Sunderland Fan with a Black Dog.
He gave Beach Buoy an update.
He also informed Beach Buoy that the beach-found ball that he had given them was
"Halfway to Denmark."
The black dog had dropped it in the sea.
They walked and talked for a while.
Beach Buoy wandered to the water's edge.
He collected five suitable stones.
He walked with Team One Black Ear and Team Muzzled Dog for a while.
He made his way to the low level route.
A Half-Moon hung over the dunes.
He made his way to the small slope that leads to Stubborn Dog Stack.
"Morning mate."
It was 8-11.
Beach Buoy patted

stone.
He added five more.
A Crow landed on the tallest of the stack timbers.
The Crow watched from its vantage point as Beach Buoy scooped some dune sand away.
He filled the sand bowl with seeds.
The Crow went to a lower post.
Then lower again.
Finally it trusted Beach Buoy enough to land nearby on the dune sand.
Beach Buoy returned the beach.
Tractor tracks ran along the beach.
Dog-less couples walked towards the rising Sun.
Ships headed to the River.
There was a bit of a queue.
A lady headed south with her dog.
The Sun rose at 8-28.
Sunrise, never ever taken for granted.
Beach Buoy was heading north, but he kept checking back on the Sun's progress.
Within minutes it was clear of land.
To the north, seafront windows took turns to shine.
The tide seemed to be slightly more in than it was out?
The wreck was still at sea.
The south.
The north.
His sunshine shadow was so long that it had almost claimed a place at the front of the queue
at one of the fish and chip shops.
A man dressed in camouflage clothing walked to the sea.
Or did he?
Up on the Esplanade he stopped to chat to one thirds of Team Mick Aston Jumper.
She was heading back to her care with her two little dogs, Alfie and Archie.
