SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 24 OCTOBER, 2023.

Tuesday afternoon.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog set off on foot at 4-39.
At the end of the street he could see The Wind Turbines spinning beyond the dunes.

It was 5-02 when they reached sand.

They headed south into a fresh breeze.
The tide was as far out as the recently exposed Seaton Carew Wreck.
The sands had claimed it for a number of months.
Beach Buoy pulled up two hoods.

5-25.
"Afternoon Mate."
Gulls hung in the air, hanging on the dune edge updraft.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.

He drank coffee on a wobbly driftwood plank.
He sat and thought.

"See you mate."
They returned to a quiet-looking beach

They walked a short dune distance to the sandy slope.

They ambled back.

The dune folk had raised the flag.
Beware.

The light was beginning to dim.

They crossed the car park as the village church bells rang for 6 p.m.

BEACH BUOY.
