SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 1, OCTOBER, 2023.

It was the second visit of the day.

They arrived at the car park not long after

6 p.m.

It was a glorious evening with a slight breeze from the west.

Two couples sat in camping chairs on the promenade grass, their campervan nearby with the side door open.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the sea.
A Jogger beaded south.
Another headed north, trading places by-the-sea.
People were packing up as others arrived.
Dune folk did what dune folk do, up on the heights of the dunes.
An already distant ship had just left the river behind.
Bon Voyage...

They headed southwards towards Stubborn Dog Stack.
A large
X
hung in the sky.

A silvery light blue sea sparkled below a silvery light blue sky.

The Sea Serpent took centre stage.

"Evening Mate."

It was 6-37 p.m.

Beach Buoy added some stones.

He patted

THE

stone.

He set up the wobbly driftwood plank.

He sat wobbling as he drank coffee.

Beach Buoy pulled up a bright orange hood as protection against the numerous small black flies that hung above the dune edge

Another Dog was used to the routine now.

She sat and waited enjoying the sniffs and sights.

It's a very special spot to be.

Eventually they returned to the beach below.

"See you mate."

A slow walk back with a bit of a dash too.

The light began to fade.
A couple of people lit a dune edge bonfire.

They returned to the van.

BEACH BUOY.
