SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL 01, OCTOBER, 2022.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach car park at 6-23 a.m..
The Vauxhall Corsa Border Collie man was out along the promenade somewhere.
A man and dog walked the water's edge.
Three silhouettes stood near the promenade wall, waiting.
Moments later the distant wave lady swung into the car park.

The four set off along the beach as Beach Buoy faffed on.

Eventually Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed south.
The light was increasing.
Gulls left the sea behind as they flew inland.
The tide was well in.
There was a gentle but fresh  breeze from the west.
Beach Buoy made beach notes in his book.
He put the book into his beach bag.
He was glad to be able to stuff his hands deep into the pockets of his old orange coat.

The man with a Polar Bear-looking white retriever was heading south.

Beach Buoy paused to capture the sunrise.
It finally showed up at 7-07 a.m.

By the time he had finished faffing on again, the man with the Polar Bear was heading back.
They chatted briefly as Another Dog cadged a dog treat.
The Polar Bear went and sat in the sea.
They went their separate ways.

A lone 7 a.m. club was next on the beach conveyor belt.
He had his three dogs for company.
One if them is Mari, the big friendly poodle.
Hugo had followed them north along the beach
Hugo and Mari are good mates.
The two dogs formed an orderly queue for their neck scratch as the two owners chatted.

They went their separate ways.
Hugo ran south along the water's edge, back to the distant wave lady and her friends.
A coupe walked south with coffees in hand.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to Stubborn Dog Stack.
"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
 stone.

Beach Buoy scanned the view.
"See you mate."
They headed back to the beach.

It was a slow walk back on a narrow beach.

The water's edge made its own shadow.

Beach Buoy headed beyond the van.
He wanted to have a mooch in the village.
He wanted some photographs for possible future drawings.

The car park.

The clock tower,
A clock that was telling the wrong time.
