SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL 10 03 2021

Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog arrived at the car park at 3-49 pm.

Raindrops were being carried by a south westerly wind.

As they descended  the access ramp to the beach, Beach Buoy pulled up two hoods.

More for protection from the rain than the wind that transported it.

Stubborn Dog was sporting two coats; one warm, the other waterproof.

They headed to the water's edge; the tide was more in than it was out.

A man walked back to the North with his Large Brown Labrador, the Dog had the look of a scaled-down Grizzly Bear about it as it trotted along the strand line.

The grey but white edged sea was two shades darker than the sky.

They headed up to the stack and added a few more stones.

Beach Buoy looked out to sea as water droplets fell from his hood.

The tide was in a little too much to allow beach access to the North Gare Pier.

They travelled along  the dune edge, southwards.

They grey rocks looked even more grey today.

After a mooch in North Gare Pier Corner, the tide had gone out enough to allow them to stick to the beach on the slow and wet walk back.

Still no sign of the Sand Martins.

They were wetter than the sea itself.

Rainfall on the coat hood sounded like rain on a tent.

As the walk ended, the rain stopped.

The sky became brighter, but it was time to go.
