SEATON SANDS 09 MARCH 2021.

Beach Buoy and Stubborn  Dog reached the
car park at 3-53pm.
They had reached the strand line by the time the village church bells were ringing for 4pm (3-57).
The tide looked around 50/50 in and out.
It was on the way out.
There was no beach yesterday thanks to Stubborn Dog being extra stubborn.

They had a look through just a dusting of shingle
as they headed south.
Two men with a peep peep dog whistle headed along the dune edge with their Black Labrador.

A man walked the waters edge with his two Black Labradors and thankfully, no peep peep dog whistle.
Whatever happened to those whistles that only dog's could hear?

They wandered up to the stack with five stones in-hand; one was a happy stone.

The sky out towards the bay had a thundery look about in.
That distance bush fire smoke look.

As they searched the shingle around the World War Two tank traps,
A comfortable fisherman enjoyed the view; fish would be a bonus.

They began their slow walk back on the ever-widening beach.
Sounds of sirens drifted over from the west on a road behind the dunes. Not to be confused with the Sirens that sound out from Longscar Rocks to the East at low tide.

They wandered back to the van.

They chatted part of the way with a beach regular about his recent operation.
He had seemed a little surprised that Beach Buoy had remembered to ask how it had been.

Birds dotted the Promenade wall waiting for someone, anyone to break the
DO NOT FEED THE GULLS
sign.

"I see no chips."

Good social distancing.

There was no van coffee time today.

Beach Buoy had a coffee later in another new mug.
