Couples were locking cars and heading down the access ramp.

It was a different feel to the beach.
They stuck with the dunes until the grey rocks.
It was good to see the sea again.
Have its company for the walk back.
It was around an hour to high tide.

The beach was quiet, the light was dull.
It all had a half day closing feel about it today.
As they left the beach the village church bells rang for 5-30.
