EYEMOUTH, ST ABBS AND COLDINGHAM BAY, SCOTLAND ..11 AUG 2018.

7-10am Beach Buoy headed up to the Cliffs at the North of Eyemouth to the site of Eyemouth Fort.
See link below.
EYEMOUTH FORT

It was a Sunny Day with a lovely Breeze from the West.
Beach Buoy and two dogs stayed a canny while.
A fishing boat came into  the Harbour from the Bay followed by a snowstorm of Seagulls scrounging for scraps, the Chubby, Stubby Boat was Blue and White; Saltire Blue and White.
Beach Buoy stood and watched the Boat safely enter the narrow Harbour entrance.
His attention turned back to the Sea.
He saw a splash and a hint of something large in the Bay, a fair distance away. He focused  his attention and was rewarded with a Dolphin jumping fully clear of the water in a curve then returning to the depths.
To the North a small boat visited colourful plastic floats to see if their Pots had been successful and then headed Further North up towards St. Abbs.

A walk through the town and Beach Buoy visited the Hippodrome.
there was a exhibition  by Julia Barton @LittoralArt about plastic pollution on Scotland's Beaches.

11-58am it was back to the Beach.

Then up the steps at the North End of the Beach and back to the Fort area... No Dolphins this time. There were masses of Gannets, flying like Concordes of the Bird world. Beach Buoy was impressed.

15-48 it was Coldingham Bay.
See link below.

COLDINGHAM BAY
It was a small Beach, the weather had chilled a little. The Lifeguard flag flapped in the strengthening wind.

There was a small platform / decking area  that look to be suitable for wheelchair use. You arrive via a narrow road. The Car Park is bigger than you would have thought so it must become very busy at times.

Then it was North again to St Abbs with some fishermen's sheds.
see link below for more  about.....
ST. ABBS.

A Little Harbour with a Rocky Bay and  twisting steep road in and out.

Northerly View to St Abbs Head.
