SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 9 OCTOBER 2025.

Thursday morning.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at 6-36 a.m.
Two overnight HGV trucks sat, drivers and engines idling under a moonlit car park,

Beach Buoy looked across the beach from the Esplanade Wall.

They headed to the sea.
Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones for Stubborn Dog Stack as they did so.

It was unusual to see the moonlight reflecting on a nearby roof.

They stood at the water's edge.
He was about to set off to the south.
He spotted two sets of flashing dog collar lights to the north.
He knew it was a two dog day for the 7 a.m. club.
He waited until they caught up.
They chatted.
Dogs sniffed.
Beach Buoy explained the Cairn (Stack) to a beach visitor

The 7 a.m. club returned to the north.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog continued southwards.

The tide was edging out.
Their prints were the first to walk this particular sandy canvas.
Foot and Paw prints fade in the following tide.
A story taken.
Memories only last a lifetime.
Like fears, they die with you.

A Parcel of Oyster Catchers lined the water's edge.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog went up towards the dune edge.
The tide was a fair way in, the beach was quite narrow.
He was trying to avoid disturbing them.
They took flight.
Their flight was low, close to the sea, south to the river.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed for the low level route.
Close to the sand, south to the stack.

"Morning Mate."
It was 7-10.
Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.

They had a sit and think.
A distant dog barked across the dunes.
An even more distant cow mooed.

"See you mate."
They returned to the beach below.

They headed north.
Team One Black Ear were heading south.
They chatted.
Team One Black Ear had read the blog and liked it.

They headed back to the north, chatting.

The lady who walks the full length of the beach was heading back north along the water's edge.

The Saltburn sky began to glow as a big Silver Moon watched on from above the dunes.

The man who once had four dogs passed by with three.
"Morning Gents."
"Morning."
"What do you call him on the blog?"

Beach Buoy answered, giving the reason.

The Sun showed up at 7-36.
Up ahead, a Lady in a burgundy-coloured coat took pictures of the sunrise.

Back to the Esplanade.
Two thirds of Team Mick Aston Jumper walked back to the south.
The other third, the third with the dogs that wore Mick Aston Jumpers hadn't been seen for moths sad months.

Perhaps it was time for a name change?

BEACH BUOY.
