Thursday morning.
Beach Buoy went to the beach alone.
The weather forecast wasn't looking favourable.
Another Dog doesn't do wet if it can be avoided.
He arrived at 6-40 .
It was dark.
A fresh northerly breeze delivered a drizzly rain.
Beach Buoy could see the waves breaking.
But because of the poor light it gave a false water's edge.
The sea was running on to the beach almost unseen once the last wave had broken.
It was a bit of a sneaky sea today.
Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones by torch light.
He headed south.
Over the last few days he had become aware of small birds with a sweet peep peep call.
They were difficult to see.
Harder to spot this morning, in poor light.
Peep Peep.
They were out there somewhere.
He walked the low level route.
Up the small sandy slope.
"Morning Mate."
It was 7-08.
Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He had a stand and think.
The Crane for the new Wind Turbine Towers glowed brightly.
The Bay's Turbines were illuminated too.
"See you mate."
Beach Buoy made a move to go.
He turned back.
"Miss you mate."
He returned to the beach below and a face full of drizzle.
The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple headed south, searching in the half light.
The tide was heading out., the light increasing.
The man who once had four dogs headed south with three.
Beach Buoy headed to the Van.
The beach access ramp.
- BEACH BUOY.
