3, MARCH, 2023. HARTLEPOOL HEADLAND.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked the Town Wall and Memory Lane.
It was cold.
A couple sat on the Fish Sands, below the ancient wall.

There are some colourful houses on the Town Wall.
This one looked particularly striking under its own personal street light.

They walked to the end of the ancient wall.

Beach Buoy watched as harbour ripples reflected and distorted light from the port.
They were stood at the ferry steps.
Streams of ghosts ran by,
desperate to catch a long gone ferry
to go and work in a long gone factory.
All the rushing.
All the pushing.
Means nothing now.
Only as good as your last mistake.
Your last overtime shift.

They headed back.

In memory of fisher wives.
Another excellent mural by
Durham Spray Paints.

St.Hilda's.
He replayed the day he
"Took a corner."
carrying Cousin Jimmy's coffin into the church.
A church packed with people and history.
They headed through the historic streets.
Back to the van.

Sanctuary.

BEACH BUOY.
