Beach Buoy woke at 1-55 a.m.
Kettle on 2-05.
Coffee.
Do blog.
Blog was updated by around 4 a.m.
Gulls called at 6-09.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog were on the beach by 6-30.
The light was strange.
It was both overcast and bright.
They began to head south.
Beach Buoy noticed some timbers down near the water's edge.
They were more exposed than usual.
He and Another Dog went to investigate.
The very very wet Retriever came bounding up.
Beach Buoy hadn't seen him or his owner for months.
The owners chatted
Beach Buoy gave the dog a beach-found ball from his beach bag.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog continued south.
The very very wet Retriever team had headed back with the 7 a.m. club.
They were soon dots in the distance.
Up ahead, a young Sea Serpent headed back to the sea.
Presumably it had been caught out by a receding tide?
Sea Pottery.
They headed to Stubborn Dog Stack.
The Sandy Slope was still very steep.
It was becoming easier to climb.
People struggling up and staggering down had moved sand from top to bottom.
Beach Buoy had carried up seven stones up to the stack.
He added them to the stack.
He patted
THE
stone.
"Morning Mate."
It was 7-06 a.m.
Coffee time.
Beach Buoy watched the sea.
He couldn't decide if the tide was coming in or going out.
"See you mate."
They headed back to the beach.
They headed south to Sand Martin Corner.
The birds had still to arrive.
Beach Buoy watched as The Tank Traps trundled off into the dunes.
They went down to the water's edge by the north side of North Gare Pier.
The Sea Serpent Marker.
Oyster Catchers and Gulls shared the water's edge.
The Oyster Catchers seemed industrious, searching as they walked.
In comparison, the Gulls stood as though waiting to pounce.
As if to prove the point, two Gulls flew overhead.
A mid-air fight for some scrap of food.
A slow walk back.
Back to the van.
Coffee.
Radio Tees.
Chocolate mini doughnuts.
BEACH BUOY.
