SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 08, MARCH, 2023.

Wednesday.
Wednesday afternoon.
3-44.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog set off for the beach on foot and paw.
The flag pole at the Golf Club was flagless.
It's rope flapped against the flagpole in the breeze like the rigging on yacht mast without a sail.
By 3-57 they were approaching the beach steps that lead down to the sand from the promenade.
It was 8-34 BST
(BUS STATION TIME.)
They headed to the water's edge.
Out in the bay, the wind turbines faced east
The obliging breeze blew across the sea, onto the beach.
It was fresh.
Two hoods were already up.
Gloves were on.

They began to head south.
Up ahead, the Muzzled Dog couple walked on with their Timid Border Collie for company.

The tide was well in.
It came a little more, a little too quickly for a family who gave out a united scream as a sea-foam sea edge gave their shoes a soaking.

A Pug called Rodney came over to say hello.

The recent rough seas had left the strand line looking like a seaweed jumble sale.
The muzzled dog group headed for the dunes.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed for the Sandy Slope.
The high tide and angry sea was claiming the dune edge.
Going through the dunes at that point is difficult.
Sea Buckthorn has claimed much of it.
There would be no Stubborn Dog Stack this afternoon.
Stubborn Dog would understand
Beach Buoy always there in spirit if not in body.
One day.....
For today, a distant wave would have to do.
Luckily, Beach Buoy had practiced.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog climbed up to a section of dune that was clear of Sea Buckthorn.
Beach Buoy looked down onto the beach below.
Waves slapped the dune edge.

He watched a pied-wagtail rush in and out with the sea.
It had joined a group of pebbles with legs.
Together they did the beach hokey-cokey.

They went back to the beach, heading north.

 More Pebbles with legs.

Excellent.

BEACH BUOY.
