Beach Buoy and Another Dog set off on foot at 4-01 p.m.
Planet Funland were setting up on the grass near the Promenade as they do this time of year.
They headed down to the beach.
A friendly dog called Oscar came over a few times.
Beach Buoy chatted briefly to the owner.
Oscar headed north, in hot pursuit of a thrown ball.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog turned to the south.
The tide was well in.
It had peaked and was heading back out.
A man passed by, heading north.
His trousers were in his socks.
Another man passed by, heading north.
Presumably his trousers were in the wardrobe?
He wore shorts.
Little mounds of shingle were being left behind by the receding sea.
Sea Pottery.
A bird in the hand.
The shingle patches gave up a few pieces of sea pottery as they walked.
The village looked lovely in the bright but cloudy afternoon.
It was a blowy beach today.
"Afternoon Mate."
It was 4-49.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
No coffee today.
Beach Buoy sat on a large stack stone, facing the sea.
He reflected, both in thought and sunlight.
Another Dog sat reflecting too.
Time to go.
A slow walk back..
Up the access ramp, onto the Promenade.
Beach Buoy reached into his beach bag.
As he approached a rubbish bin, out came a beach-cleaned plastic bottle.
The angle of the bottle was such that the breeze played the sound of a distant fog horn.
BEACH BUOY.
