SUNDAY 05 JUNE 2022. SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL.

It was 5-27 a.m. as Beach Buoy began to get ready for the beach.
The sound of a skidding boy/ girl racer in the beach car park came within earshot.
Beach Buoy made a thermal mug of coffee.
They reached the beach car park at 6-08 a m.
The boy/girl racers had gone.
Skidded black circles marked the tarmac.

Beach Buoy stood at the van's side door.
He put on his orange coat, a snood and a wooly hat.
June had come dressed as November.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed down towards the sea.
The distant wave lady gave a distant wave  as she cut across the beach, heading south.
"Morning!"
"Morning!"

He found a small piece of sponge wear sea pottery.
A floral design.

Grey clouds hung over a greyer sea.
The 7 a.m. club with the distant wave lady passed by.
"Mornings." were exchanged.
Some for the second time today.
Mari and Hugo, both big friendly dogs trotted over for a neck rub.

Beach Buoy gathered four stones, then headed to the stack.

Beach Buoy added the stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
"Morning Mate."
He sat on a large stack stone, watching the sea as he drank coffee
A dog walker walked the water's edge, heading south. He paused opposite the stack before returning to the north.
It was the man who had spoken with Beach Buoy months earlier, up at the stack about dog loss.

Beach Buoy watched as the man and his dog walked off into the distance.
It has been light for a couple of hours but no sign of the sun.
Birds flew here, there and everywhere.
Beach Buoy watched the sea curl and break onto the beach below.
Grey clouds drifted by.

"See you mate "
They headed to the beach, heading north.
A zooming dog zoomed by.
"Morning."
"Morning."

The beach combing Border Collie Couple hugged the water's edge, as they passed heading south.

Another piece of floral sea pottery.

Beach Buoy noted a fishing boat float.
WY803
WY is WHITBY.
He googled it.
Up came images of a much painted boat.
Painted as in artwork not in protection from the sea.

At the south end of the promenade, a cyclist sheltered behind some beach information boards.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog rested on the promenade wall, faces full of sea breezes.

Down at the water's edge, the beach combing Border Collie Couple walked as far as the nest site fence before they too headed for the promenade and home.

BEACH BUOY.
