Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached South Gare around 12-30 p.m.
It was just across the river from Seaton Carew but a forty mile roundtrip.
It was a glorious afternoon.
Hardly a breath of wind.
Looking down The River Tees.
Loads of motorhomes around but only couple of other VW Transporters.
The South Gare Cabins.
One cabin was alone on the dune edge.
The familiar Wind Turbines spun slowly in the background.
They walked to Paddy's Hole.
Another collection of cabins and houseboats overlooked a small harbour setting.
Some of the boats were in a better state of repair than others.
Skylarks sang as men hammered wood work as boats and cabins were repaired.
The hammering echoed slightly in the stillness of the air.
Noah's Ark.
Another of the surrounding cabins.
A man pondered life on a wooden bench that overlooked the dune cabins.
Coffee and lunch in the van before another walk.
Coatham Beach, Redcar and Saltburn beyond.
Across the Tees, from the south for a change.
Seems odd that a ferry service hadn't been set up.
Motorhomes of every shape size and colour lined either side of the road that led to South Gare Pier.
This one must struggle up a bank?
Beach Buoy returned to the van for coffee.
A scooter parked up near by.
Nice.
It's rider went and sat by the river.
BEACH BUOY.
