SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 13 FEB 2022.

Borrowed Dog decided that they needed to be up at 4-20 a.m....
Beach Buoy did just that.
By 7-10 a.m. Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog were on the beach.
As they pulled into the car park , the rear doors of a nearby grey van swing open.
Someone living the van life with a view of the sea for breakfast.

Beach Buoy was wearing double hoodies.
It was cold.

The tide was well out.
They headed South.
The 7a.m. club were heading north.
Chocolate Pudding's owner gave a distant wave, which was returned.

Beach Buoy had brought some painted stones in memory of beach buddies no longer alive.

It was the greyest of grey days.
Beach Buoy stepped towards the sea.
He stood looking out into the bay
Like some gormless version of a Gormley statue.
The Beach Combing Border Collie Couple's Dog was dashing along the water's edge chasing imaginary Gulls.
Moments later it was up on the dune edge chasing equally imaginary Rabbits.

Mr. Gunn/Nunn passed by.
He paused, they chatted.
The dogs sniffed and wagged.

"Bye."
"Bye."
Beach Buoy headed up to
Stubborn Dog Stack,
collecting beach stones as he went.

"Morning Mate."
He patted
THE
stone.
He added more.
They stayed a while.
Beach Buoy scanned the bay.
"See you mate."
They headed south to dramatic clouds.

They stuck with dune system as their walk continued.

They only went as far as the Pier.
Large loose digs were dashing around on
The Blue Lagoon

They headed back.

A lady beachcomber walked the water's edge.

Beach bag for finds and a Driftwood stick in hand.

It was a quick walk back.
Rain was forecast.
It came with around five minutes walking still to do.
They reached the van.
Fluffy towels came out.
Beach Buoy and the two dogs sat listening to the sound of the rain on the van's roof.

BEACH BUOY.
