Beach Buoy should have gone to work today but it wasn't to be.
He woke at 4-07 am.
Coffee.
Faff on with blog.
Faff on randomly with anything that required faffing with.
Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog headed for the beach.
It was 8-35am.
Beach Buoy hadn't had breakfast.
He had made a coffee.
He drank his pre-beach coffee in the van.
A Police Car came into the car park, checking.
Stubborn Dog seemed to sense that this was an extra, unexpected beach.
But what the heck a beach is a beach!
The Village Church Bells rang out for 9 o'clock.
It was 8-57 am.
They headed for the sea as spots of rain began to fall.
To be honest the sky didn't seem too pleased to see them.
They wandered down to the water's edge.
The tide had peaked around an hour earlier.
A Small Brown Spaniel ran southwards with a stick in its mouth; the most important stick in the world.
A cold wind was strong from the south.
Beach Buoy had put on an extra layer; three hoods went up.
On the beach an un jogger-looking jogger headed south into the headwind.
Out in the bay an un flying-looking Cormorant headed south into the headwind.
It's wings almost touching the surface of the sea as it struggled along.
There was lots of shingle.
A small piece caught Beach Buoy's eye.
It looked like plastic.
It was pot.
The Sun showed up dressed in fancy dress as the Moon.
Regular patches lead the way to the stack, like a zebra crossing.
They stacked that stack.
They continued south via the dunes for a short while.
Binoculars showed that it was four ducks, swimming together, trying to paddle south.
A yellow boat crossed the bay, heading to attend the wind turbines.
They continued onwards.
Someone had been busy with grey rocks.
They headed back; a slow walk.
They left the beach as coffee drinking beach walkers walked the beach.
The van is in for a service and MOT on Monday
(Another day off, but a planned one.)
So out came the bucket, hose, wax and elbow grease.
The inside was given a good tidy up too.
When the job was done, Beach Buoy took a coffee into the van.
He even nodded off for a few moments.
It had been a long day.
BEACH BUOY.
