SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 16 FEB 2021.

It was Tuesday afternoon.

Afternoon after work.

It was 3-40pm when Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog arrived in a busy beach-side car park.

They headed down to the beach, passing a Pug called Wilson as they did so.

The tide was on its way in but the beach still had a fair bit of width to it.

There was cloud heading in from the west on a mild breeze.

They headed down to the water's edge.

Horse riders had had the same idea.

The cloud that claimed the sunshine.

It was still very mild.

The sea was as flat as a Pancake , well it was Shrove Tuesday after all.

The tide was working its way in.

The higher parts of the beach, made temporary sand banks.

The erasing incoming tide was removing all trace of the day's visitors.

They reached the stack around 4-15 pm.

Someone had gone to the trouble of disturbing the whole centre section.

Beach Buoy made good the damage, adding a few more for good luck.

The Sea Serpent.

As he headed back to the beach, Beach Buoy spotted a heart stone.

He put it in safe place in the dunes.

The clouds were lovely.

One in particular went overhead, this cloud looked like a large fish or perhaps a whale.

For a few moments, Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog were on the seabed watching the creature swam overhead silently.

They had the slowest of walks back to the van.
