SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL 06, AUG. 2023.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog had reached the beach car park at 6-46 a.m.

As he readied Another Dog for the beach, the man with the friendly Rottweiler headed to his car.

" Morning."

said Beach Buoy.

"Just got here? " the early bird asked.

"Yes, just moved house.

Head in a shed "

Minutes later they were on the beach.

A fresh breeze blew.

August had become October.

It was Beach Buoy's first visit since moving house.

The H in beach will always be the H in home.

He will be here forever one day, up at Stubborn Dog Stack.

Someone had placed a concrete post upright in sand.
It's pyramid top made it look like a Beach Obelisk.
Beyond it, a silver sea looked angry.

As they approached, a Sea Serpent Pup hurried back into the safety of that silver- coloured sea.

Another Dog was not so sure about a nearby Meatal Detectorist.

Team Muzzled Dog has arrived, heading south.
They chatted.

Beach Buoy let Team Muzzled Dog lead the way.

Energetic footprints ran up and down a steep dune slope.

The high tide meant a dune edge walk.
Due to the height and quantity of the sea buckthorn they were unable to reach Stubborn Dog Stack.
😟
Beach Buoy paused, wondering just what to do.
A distant "Morning!" travelled over the dunes.
Mr. Gunn / Nunn was off in the distance trying to find an alternative route to North Gare Pier.
Beach Buoy gave Stubborn Dog Stack a distant wave.
Stubborn Dog would understand.

They travelled the beach as and when they could.

A toy seaplane was washed up on the strand-line.
A nod to the seaplane ramp at Seaton Snooks situated behind the Power Station.

Beyond the dunes, long thin clouds danced like flames.

They had a slow walk back to the north.

"Hello Ruby Dooby."
It was Team Mick Aston.
There was a new member of the team with dogs Alfie and Archie.
They were friendly dogs.
Another member had a Black Pug.
The dog came over.
Beach Buoy applied the neck scratch.
The dog leaned into his leg.
"Look she's snuggling into his leg!"
They said their goodbyes.

The litter pick lady waved.
They chatted.

Back at the van, Mr. Gunn / Nunn was already back at the car park.
They chatted.

Back at base camp, Another Dog was settling in.

BEACH BUOY.
