TUESDAY, 29, AUG, 2023. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

Tuesday evening.
It was 7-24.
The car park was busy.
It was Sunny but the sun was already lowering in the sky.
Yet another visitor was trying to make sense of the dog beach ban signage.
Beach Buoy and another passerby gave guidance.

They headed south.
The tide was way out.

A Jack Russell called Fred came to say hello.
There was a fresh but welcome breeze from the west.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked the strand-line whilst their long sunshine shadows walked the water's edge.
They took aim at Stubborn Dog Stack.
A family had a dune edge campfire.
They sat around it.
Their Dog, a Border Collie, kept running from them and laying in the sea.
When it realised they weren't following he would back to the flames before trying to tempt them once more.
Again and again.

A lady with a pink coat and grey hair was ahead of Beach Buoy and Another Dog.
Every now and then she would squat down on the sand to take a photograph.

They headed to the sandy slope and Stubborn Dog Stack beyond.

"Evening Mate."
It was 7-51.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He placed the wobbly driftwood plank onto the stack.
He drank coffee.
It was much needed.
It tasted like the first of the day.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog enjoyed the peace.

A lady in grey headed north on the beach below.

The Sun had set but it was still light.
Beach Buoy stood to leave.
He looked long and hard at the stack
"Oh Winnie."
The little dog was still missed.
"See you mate."

They returned to the beach.
A man with a German Shepherd headed south.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed northwards.
Beach Buoy was pleased to see that the dune edge campfire dog has finally tempted two of the group to join him by the sea.
The dog seemed to be so happy.

8-16 p.m.
Car headlights twinkled along the seafront.
It was still August!
Only just...

Towards the end of the dunes, people sat in swirling smoke.
It was a bit of a failed campfire.
They must have all felt like they were sat in a kipper house.

They returned to the van.
A Wonderful Moon hung above the dunes.

BEACH BUOY.
