Beach Buoy and Another Dog left the house on foot and paw around 3-30 p.m.
As they headed for the T junction that led to the sea, The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple were walking from the opposite directions.
Beach Buoy headed for the beach.
The couple headed for the local shops.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at 3-42 p.m.
Cars had already been passing with their headlights on.
Lovely clouds filled the bay.
The tide looked like it had turned around two hours earlier.
There was a fresh wind off the sea.
The receding tide left a rippled beach behind.
They headed south.
Beach Buoy's fingers were as cold as the wind.
A man passed with an Old English Sheepdog.
The dog had a haircut and a driftwood stick
They were afternoon beach regulars.
Their little grey poodle type dog wasn't there.
Maybe another beach regular, never to grace the beach again?
It happens.
There will be new characters arrive to replace them all, us all.
Scattered like a fisherman's net.
They headed up the sandy slope to reach Stubborn Dog Stack.
Beach Buoy added five beach stones, one for each weekday, just incase he couldn't return until the weekend.
"Afternoon Mate."
He patted
THE
stone.
He watched the sea for a while, letting the sea air wash his face.
"See you mate.".
They headed back to the beach.
They headed back along the dune edge.
4-23 p.m. for Goodness sake!
Smooth bottle bottom find.
BEACH BUOY.
