SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL SUNDAY 18 OCTOBER 2020.

They left the house at 6-26 am.
They walked to the beach
It was dark.
Birds in the trees were singing theirs hearts out.
As they walk down Elizabeth Way the could see the bright lights of the Wind Turbines out in the Bay.
The lights seemed to flashing, it was the three large blades passing in front of the lights in the darkness that was creating a flashing effect.
They rested on the Promenade Wall.
A Council Worker was emptying the Promenade Bins.
The flashing orange light on his truck seemed to intrigue Stubborn Dog.

They headed for the beach.
There was a chilly breeze that only became noticeable when they had reached the open expanse of the beach.
Beach Buoy pulled up is two hoods.
They reached the water's edge at 7-02 am
The 7 am club were to the north; heading south.

A man was exercising near the dunes in the half light.

The rough seas had washed some of the dune edges away.

Clouds of white sea foam drifted across the beach, carried by the strong breeze.

They stacked the stack, drank warm coffee and watched a silver- grey sea roll in.

They returned to the beach, passing a piece of driftwood showing the cuts of craftsmanship and cracks of time and tide.

Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog headed for the grey rocks, they paused to drink the last of the coffee.

A young couple passed them, hand in hand on the way to the Blue Lagoon.

A driftwood Mother rests up at the dune edge with its young.

They had a slow walk back.

The dog ban is over for a few months now, so Beach Buoy went a little further north than they would have normally.

So it was goodbye beach.

The beach morphed into promenade steps.

Patrol.
Control.

Beach Award 2020.

Two Seagulls tried to calculate what time the chip shops would be opening.

Time to head back.

Time to do the blog.

BEACH BUOY.
