SEATON SANDS 10 SEPT 2020. A THURSDAY EVENING.

It was 6-18 pm,
Thursday.
There was a slight breeze from the west.
As Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog readied themselves for the beach a car pulled up.
Four Dogs and two mouths headed for the beach.
Thankfully it was low tide so distance was maintained.
The others walked the water's edge as Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog took the strand line route.

By the time Beach Buoy had reached the stack, those other beach visitors had turned to return to their estate car.

Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog returned to the beach.
They headed South to North Gare Pier Corner... yes South...
At the start of the grey rocks their was a deposit of seacoal.
Beach Buoy dragged a lazy foot along to test the depth of the coal.
It was around 20mm deep in places.

They carried on beyond the sea coal.
Beach Buoy stood a while at the end of the beach, recalling The Sand Martins; the drama of this year's sandbank collapse, The Little Bird's determination to start all over again.

As they walked back they passed a series of Xs marked in the sand.
Had some confused Pirate mixed up his maps and was now unsure which X marked the spot?

BEACH BUOY.
