Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog reached the beach car park at 6-52 am. The Golf Club Flag was flying at half mast once more. A golfer was walking to play. He passed the Amusement Arcades, pushing his golf clubs in front of him. He was pushing one-handed, you know?- the way (Most) men push prams and pushchairs, although saying that nowadays, many push one-handed as the other is usually busy on mobile phone duty.
Up on the promenade the couple with a story of their own were saying goodbye. A council worker was sat in his truck. The door was open. He was trying to fasten his bootlace. It was all a bit of a struggle. Who put that steering wheel there? He managed, shut the door and continued doing an excellent job of emptying the bins that were spread out along the length of the promenade.
It was a Covid 19 sunrise today; cloud mask and it had taken place behind closed doors. |
