SEATON SANDS AND HARTLEPOOL HEADLAND 15 FEB. 2020.

Beach Buoy woke, it was still dark.
He reached for his mobile phone that was on charge nearby.
5-56.
'Just gone Subaru o'clock.'
thought Beach Buoy.
He laid in the darkness.
Storm Dennis was due today but all sounded peaceful in the outside world.
Dennis wasn't being a menace just yet.
Up.
Coffee.
Beach Buoy checked the weather using his movie phone.
50% chance of rain by 10 am.
By 6-42 am the Gulls and the Sea were calling.
Stubborn Dog was flat out on a fake fur blanket.
'Beach?'..... nothing.
'Out for walk?'...... nothing.
'Van."... nothing.
Any other dog would be wagging, rushing to the front door and possibly barking by all of this...... nothing.
Beach Buoy made the move and did a pretend front door opening..... nothing.
So Beach Buoy went out to van, a quick check back inside the hallway and there he was; Stubborn Dog.
They finally reached the Beach Car Park at 6-57 am.
The Car Park was empty.
Beach Buoy faffed and put on his Beach Boots.
This is usually when a car zooms into the Car Park,
with barking Dogs and an out and ready owner, they head off just in front of Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog.
This always spoils the walk a little.
Today was different; faff complete and they were off.
A Lone Seagull stood at the top of a promenade light as he seemed to laugh at his own jokes.

It was a dull grey morning.
This time yesterday the sky was a ball of fire in colour, but then again Beach Buoy was stood in a factory doorway back then, whereas now he was on the beach.
You can't always have everything can you?

The 7 am club were down by the water's edge, heading south.
Beach Buoy stuck to the dune edge to give them space.

Beach Buoy had two hoods up and was in his own little world ; he was miles away yet only around the corner .
All of a sudden ... wet dog nose in hand alert!
Mari; the big friendly poodle had made a dash and caught Beach Buoy off guard.
'Hello.'
'Have you had a nice walk?'
Beach Buoy always asks.
As yet the dog is still to answer.
The Big Dog was off after a neck scratch.
The dog had lifted Beach Buoy's spirits a little.

They headed for the stack.
The regular late arrival went by, on their way to catch the
 7 am club up.
The Chocolate Brown Dog had his Yellow Coat on.
Pudding and Custard.
They caught the 7 am club up
Dogs greeted Dogs
Dogs greeted owners.
Owners greeted owners.

After a stand and think at the stack, Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog had a slow walk back.
A slight break in the clouds gave the hint of an aeroplane's vapour trail.
It looked like a toilet roll thrown in a 1960's F A Cup Match.
Surely the loudest boat in the world chugged out of the Tees.
They arrived back at the van as Four cars pulled up in the Car Park, unloading their cargoes of Barking Dogs and out and ready owners...
'Have Fun!.'
Beach Buoy headed off.
Beach Buoy washed the van.... again.

Mid-afternoon and Storm Dennis arrived.
Beach Buoy was over on Hartlepool's Headland.
The van rocked from side to side in the wind.

Lots of White Horses as Beach Buoy looked over towards Midleton.

Across the Bay, Seaton Carew Beach looked like a bit of a sand storm?

A Fishing Boat returned to Port.

Safe.

BEACH BUOY.
