Beach Buoy woke at 3-37.
He went downstairs and made a coffee.
He checked the time of the day's sunrise.
7-07 a.m.
It would soon begin with a 6!
Beach Buoy and Another Dog set off for the beach on foot and paw.
It was 6-26 a.m.
They passed their frozen van with it's frozen windows.
A Big Fat Moon watched in as they headed for the sea.
The air was cold and still.
Two hoods had already been deployed.
They passed a frozen cricket pitch.
On The Esplanade, the lady who once fell off her bike walked with a companion. They both stopped to chat to a man with a Retriever.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog set off on a frosty Beach.
The Moon monitored their progress.
Two selfish joggers scattered 101 resting Gulls as they went south.
The joggers return to the north.
Closer.
The birds had gone and stayed gone.
South.
As sunrise approached, the Moon as if on cue, slid behind a cloud.
The lady who walks the length of the beach did just that.
A man in a mustard coloured coat walked the dune heights with his dog.
Beach Buoy stopped to collect four stones for Stubborn Dog Stack.
The stones were both smooth and frosty
Like very cold bars of partially used soap.
He placed them.in a pocket.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed for the "easy" route.
Almost there, through frosted dunes.
"Morning Mate."
It was 7-24.
Beach Buoy added the soapy stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He watched as a man walked his dog as far as the grey rocks before turning back towards the village.
He stood drinking coffee.
He felt like a man waiting at a bus stop, a vandalised bus stop at that.
"Must find new seat."
Coffee drank.
"See you mate."
An Aeroplane flies directly over Stubborn Dog Stack as they began to head back
The Sun finally cleared the low cloud that hid the moment of sunrise.
A light bulb moment on the slow walk back.
Three men walked the strand-line.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked near the sea.
Some in between, in no mans land.
A Large Alsatian danced around as it squeaked a squeaky toy.
Up ahead, the Bright Sun caught the pale bodies of the sea swimmers as they headed for their morning swim.
At 8-08 a.m.
(Bob o'clock.)
Team Mick Aston Jumper joined the beach via the access ramp.
Beach Buoy binned his beach clean, time to go.
BEACH BUOY.
