WHITEHAVEN HARBOUR 13 MAY 2019.

Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog were to make two visits to Whitehaven today.
The first started at 12-50pm.
The sunshine was a constant as were the Church bells that tolled upon the higher ground.
As is the norm, they headed for the beach.
As luck would have it, the tide was well out.
The beach looked very tidal so there wouldn't
have been much beach , had the tide been in.
Beach Buoy headed for some steps that lead from the beach up to the light at the end of the pier.

He walked back to the Harbour.
Yachts had stuck upright in the sand as the
sea had receded.

Statues stood ready to blow down any flagpoles that may spoil the view.

The Rocket Brigade.

A Boat shaped seat that tells the story of the Rocket Brigade.

The nearby Flag Tower.

Beach Buoy had parked near to memorial to the to Town's Mining heritage,

It was called
End of an Era.
Beach Buoy could relate to that at the moment, given recent events....

They returned to Whitehaven later that night.
The view across to Scotland was lovely and it was going to become even more so.

The sun began to lower and put on an amazing light show,
as a couple walked into the
sunset.
(Not all of the way or there would have been a Splash and a shout for the lifeboat,)
A local man came by
"You just missed the dolphins!"

"Cheers."

It was time to go....
